My passion for working with children developed while I was completing my Certificate IV in Early Childhood. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that I’m supporting our children through the most crucial years of their lives. Most importantly, I love seeing how our Being philosophy and our educational program really resonates with parents as they witness their children becoming more confident independent and social

I've worked in many childcare centres throughout my long career in education but the people at Being are by far the most talented and passionate educators I've ever met. It's so special to see everyone take the time to get to know all the families. When you step foot through the doors, you are welcomed with open arms. It’s a privilege to work in a team who are all dedicated to achieving the best future for the children and their families.

Diversity and inclusion

At Being, we celebrate each human being’s individual uniqueness and magnificence. We believe that every child is special and we welcome everyone from different backgrounds, cultures and abilities.

We respect diversity and encourage children to participate in cultural activities. Recognising the different cultures and abilities of our families is extremely important to us. I’m very fortunate to work with educators who uphold the incredible culture at Being, and provide holistic support to our families and children.

Continuity of Care

We value everyone in our wonderful Being team and understand how important continuity of care is, which is why so many of our educators have been with Being for a very long time. It's important for us that your children have consistency in the people they're seeing everyday.

As a member of the Being team, it is special to be able to be amongst a dedicated team of strong and unique educators. All of us contribute to and support the children’s journeys and growth. It feels like a family of educators, and an extended family to the children in our care. What I love most about Being is that our centres are a safe space for children to thrive through learning journeys tailored to each child. We recognise that every child is unique and experience the world in their own ways, we meet children where they are at and invite them to engage in their curiosity, creativity, learning, play, emotions and independence.”

Our Educators

Integrity. Communication. Consideration. Impact. Curiosity. Courage. Selflessness. Our values and culture are more than words; they are our credo that guide the way that we be and act.

Imagine if every person at Being is someone you respect and can learn from; although a simple and seemingly straightforward statement, I believe that concept holds a lot of power. I remember reading this slide during my recruitment process and in all honesty it’s one of the main points that drew me to Being. I was so intrigued by the view that every person, on every level, no matter the qualification or position, is equally as valued and could be someone to look up to and to learn from. One thing I’m really enjoying about being part of Being is the opportunity to meet and learn from the extraordinary people around me. I love that Being has created a space and an ethos for all of us to do so. It makes me want to be better, and empowers me to lead our mission and live our values.
